South East Londoner songstress, Lorraine Clarke-McGhie’s set to release her new single Closer a song fused with 80’s UK soul vibe. Lorraine’s love for music doesn’t stop there. She is a music and French graduate teaching Secondary School where she has formed choirs within secondary and primary schools. She had been one of the choir leaders of the Camden Schools Choir Music Festival consisting members of over 50 schools performing at the prestigious Royal Albert Hall. Lorraine is also a trained vocal coach and teaches piano in addition to music theory grades.

 

Her musical interest was further developed as she became a worship leader, Junior Choir Director, vocal trainer, keyboardist and choir member for two of London’s largest mega churches. As she continued to thrive as a prolific singer, Lorraine was a member of the renowned London Community Gospel Choir. 

 

In 2008 was the winner of televised gospel singing competition on Love World Music Festival aired on Love world digital TV channel. She has sung as a solo artist in popular places such as the London Jazz Café where she supported Kindred - The Family Soul, the 606 Club, Royal Albert Hall.

Her voice can be heard on the studio recording of the ‘Please Help Haiti’ with UK Gospel artists Lorraine most definitely has a voice with no limits and is a lyricist that will definitely inspire you. Her live shows are one not to be missed accompanied with her live band with a fusion of 80’s Soul, Neo Soul, Motown, Gospel, Rare Groove and of course Dance/House music.
